The Prodigal Hub is a community space at St Columb’s where everyone is welcome and anyone can belong. We serve great coffee, delicious toasties and muffins, and in addition to the chilled café vibe, people can link into lots of other events and activities, connected through The Prodigal Hub and St Columb’s community. Whether you’re a neighbour, a Swinburne student or just visiting the area, you don’t want to miss experiencing The Prodigal Hub.
The mission of this ministry is to ‘open the doors’ and create innovative, responsive and dependable opportunities for people in the wider community to connect with one another.
Good coffee with other simple beverage and food options (ie. not a full-service cafe).
Pay it forward coffee will be one of the ways we might bless people in need!

Community Meal
Join us every third Thursday of the month for a warm meal in the heart of Hawthorn.
We are a warm and fun-loving group at St Columb's and The Prodigal Hub who feel strongly about building community. If you appreciate a family meal with a bunch of good people, bring yourself or come with a friend or two!

Jazz & Justice - Empowering Those Seeking Refuge in Australia
Join us at The Prodigal Hub Cafe to enjoy some live music and learn about the issues facing those who seek refuge in Australia.
The global refugee crisis is of never before seen scale and it requires coordinated community efforts from individuals, churches, community groups and organisations alike to find creative solutions. Embrace Sanctuary exists to create communities of welcome, that are empowered, educated and equipped to help settle those displaced from their homelands into a new home in Australia.
CEO, Naomi Chua will join us for Jazz & Justice in September to enhance our awareness of how we can be people and a community of care and welcome, acting with and for others with hope for the future.
