Prayer and Worship Night

We offer many styles of prayer and worship at St Columb’s.  We have our weekly prayer services where we pray for the needs of our church.  We offer Sunday services, which include worship and preaching.  We also offer overnight prayer vigils or 24/7 prayer with time for quiet contemplation.  Each offering of prayer enables us to enter the presence of God.

We want to keep exploring ways of living in the presence of God.  Therefore, we are offering a time of corporate prayer and worship on Thursday, 11th July.  The night session will offer an extended time of worship as we sing and praise God.  There will also be the opportunity to reflect on passages from scripture.  We will also pray for the renewal of the Church across the city.  We will ask God to send revival to the Church so that a new generation would come to know Jesus through the presence of the Holy Spirit.

If you desire to experience the presence of God, please join us.  Please join us if you want revival to come to churches across Melbourne.  This prayer and worship night is open to everyone who yearns for revival in our day.

St Columb's Church, built in 1883, connects key people in the development of Melbourne with a local narrative in that this was a period of rapid growth of Hawthorn. This Gothic Revival bluestone building has a fine collection of stained glass windows by such important companies as Brooks Robinson and William Montgomery, which reflect the culture and values of the wider community of the time.

What's On

The church building will be open to view and items from the archive will be on display. There will also be a guided tours of the building's highlights. Experienced guides will be available to answer questions throughout open hours. Copies of the new book about the stained-glass windows will be available to view and to purchase.
